Episode:Marriage and Family—The Origins (Part 4)

From Symmetry of Soul

Very early in social evolution, the mores tended to crystallize in restriction of sex relations among near relatives; outbreeding greatly increased the selective opportunity for evolutionary variation and advancement. Many tribes eventually forbade marriages within the clan, but outmarriage finally dominated because it was a peace promoter and a nation builder.

82:5. Endogamy and Exogamy

There has been significant understanding of man as an evolutionary phenomenon which has been lost and rediscovered in the 19th century. Early man was in close contact with animals and came to recognize many of the issues connected with inbreeding and outbreeding. Further, recognizing his kinship with animals, man incorporated a number of breeding principles into his evolving mores and taboos around marriage and reproduction.

The primitives did not consciously reason through these issues of inbreeding and outbreeding, but slowly the marriage mores tended to crystallize in the restriction of mating among near relatives.

We discussed the power of mores and where they are seated. Folkways could be considered like the teaching of the mind by and through genetics. Mores are somewhat above folkways and are further removed from the material foundations, to where mind is taught by environment, experience. We see that mores become a phenomenon of mind over matter.

Although inbreeding good stock can result in upbuilding of strong tribes, the spectacularly bad results of the inbreeding of defective stocks made a much stronger impression on the primitive mind, such that the marriage mores restricting mating among near relatives became elevated to the level of taboo.

It was also mentioned that today, among average normal people, mating among closely related individuals carries a significant risk of producing offspring with serious recessive genetic disorders. This is accounted for through the mechanism of recessive inheritance and the increased probability that related individuals each carry a copy of the same deleterious gene inherited from a common ancestor. Additionally, we noted that this mechanism of recessive genetic inheritance represents the Life Carriers’ attempt to protect the species against the effects of the odd deleterious recessive gene.

Consanguineous mating (inbreeding) was practiced by superior groups when they were isolated as demonstrated by the Nodites over a span of one hundred-fifty thousand years. The initial matings among the violet race were perforce, brother-sister. Of course because of the superior genetic material carried by Adam and Eve, Adamite inbreeding risks were nil. These practices passed down as traditions and were long practiced in Egypt, Syria, and Mesopotamia. These powerful influences persisted under the rubric of maintaining the purity of the royal blood line. Even Abraham married his half sister. Note the circuitous evolutionary path from brother-sister marriages as a necessity among the immediate offspring of Adam and Eve, to a favored practice among royalty, and ultimately to a taboo among modern peoples.

As we learned previously, jealousy is not biologically based, but a function of the mores. Likewise, the restrictions against any degree of inmarriage have no biological foundation, but are wholly a matter of taboo. Here again is further evidence of the phenomenon of mind over matter. The intensity of these mores is such as to cause one to ascribe them to an organic biological basis or on the other extreme, a moral mandate from the Almighty. Brother sister marriages gave way under the plural-wife mores because the sister-wife would arrogantly dominate the other wife or wives. This little gem evoked comedic fantasies among the SoS team of some sort of a so-called reality show, or sitcom based on such an arrangement.

Man became the ultimate determiner in the domination of outmarriage over inmarriage. Contributing factors in this outcome cited were; greater freedom from in-laws and the increase in individual choice in the selection of partners. Note here how the natural propensity of men (as instilled by the Life Carriers) led to a desired outcome, i.e. desired by our planetary benefactors.

The dominance of outmarriage and increasingly restrictive mores and taboos against inmarriage, such as tribes forbidding marriages within the clan, had the effect of progressing civilization from the clan to the tribal stage. We were reminded that there are still clan based peoples in the world today. The transition from inmarriage to outmarriage took many steps. Even after the restrictions against inmarriage attained the level of taboo for common folk, rulers of various kinds were exempt from them in order to keep the royal blood lines concentrated and pure.

The presence of the Andites fostered an increasing desire among the Sangiks to mate outside their own tribes. In [80:1.6] we find this attraction between the blue man and the Adamites described. Even so such extra-tribal mating only became possible as neighboring groups learned to live together in relative peace.

The blue men, then dominant in Europe, had no religious practices which were repulsive to the earlier migrating Adamites, and there was great sex attraction between the violet and the blue races. The best of the blue men deemed it a high honor to be permitted to mate with the Adamites. Every blue man entertained the ambition of becoming so skillful and artistic as to win the affection of some Adamite woman, and it was the highest aspiration of a superior blue woman to receive the attentions of an Adamite. [80:1.6]

Outmarriage had far reaching consequences in promoting peace, tribal co-ordination, increased security, all of which moved civilization along to nation status. By increasing trade contacts, and fostering adventure and exploration greatly fostered cross-fertilization of racial cultures.

The patchwork quilt configuration of inconsistencies of the racial marriage mores stem from the practices of outmarriage and wife stealing and buying from foreign tribes. Their sociologic basis as opposed to biologic basis is illustrated by the taboos on kinship marriages which included many degrees of in-law relationship devoid of blood relationship.

It was commented upon in the chat room that mores of today can be found in what we call “political correctness.” Additionally, when mores become injected with spiritual consciousness they attain the level of taboo. In the 20th and 21st centuries the increased spiritual consciousness has led to a profusion of “ISMS” with a quasi religious dynamic of doctrine and dogma which are essentially modern day taboos.

To reiterate what we’ve been noticing while studying this historical material, the revelators are trying to help us reflect and see ourselves in our ancestors and recognize the continuity of the divine evolutionary process.
