The Adjusters are constantly communicating with us, especially during those sublime experiences of the worshipful contact of mind with spirit. But normally we are unaware of these communications.

Paper 110 Relation of Adjusters to Individual Mortals
The SoS team remarked at the outset of this paper that the tone of the narrative is distinctly more personal and intimate, while at the same time emphasizing the impersonal qualities of ancestral Deity and the Father fragments. Part of the mystery of mysteries is wrapped up in the fact that Thought Adjusters (TAs) are a manifestation of the Father’s personal ministry to individual mortals yet in the time-space realm they are impersonal, i.e. prepersonal. Being impersonal yet, their devotion is divinely Fatherlike compared to the superb ministry of the Creator Sons. We are also reminded that the tragedy that inevitably accrues from the endowment of imperfect beings with freedom is not removed by the divine presence, but rather shared in loving companionship. Rather than asking God to deliver us from suffering, can we mobilize our spiritualized mind wherein the TA functions to parent our lower domain of mind where it is that we find our suffering, to stand courageously unperturbed?
110:1. Indwelling the Mortal Mind
TAs live in the mind not the material brain. As previously discussed in a previous broadcast, mind energy is seated above and associated with the brain. This is why we imagine our thoughts to be between our ears, in our heads. Likewise, the TAs are at eye level, so to speak, within the mind energy system, which is seated upon the brain.
While the Adjusters are constantly communicating with their human subjects, especially during the sublime experiences of the worshipful contact of mind with spirit, it is usually indirect, and unrecognized in the superconsciousness. These are bona fide experiences, albeit unconscious experiences.
In a lyrical passage our author attempts to describe the Adjusters’ work in our minds. In a flourish of exquisite alliteration and evocative imagery we are treated to an artistic depiction of the manifold manifestations of their presence as they urge and guide their subjects inward and upward in the progressive paths of perfection. Our author begins and ends this passage with his wish that we could achieve a better understanding of their function and love and cooperate with them more fully. The implication unfortunately is that we mortals are woefully animal like in our reactions and responses to this majestic presence and have so little ability recognize, appreciate and love our divine indwellers. At this stage of our existence the author is incapable of describing in terms understandable by us the technical details of what TAs actually do in our minds. Even a first circler, without mota consciousness is limited in his ability to understand the Adjusters’ work, let alone be able to love, cherish, and cooperate with them. Thus must we depend upon the indirect method of revelation to progress in these abilities.
TAs as well as destiny guardian seraphim should be thought of as being chiefly concerned with our spiritual preparation for the next stage of the never-ending existence. Our Monitors are interested in our earthly activities just to the degree that our temporal activities are concerned with our future and eternal career.
Adjusters are interested in, and concerned with, our daily doings and details of our lives to the extent that these are influential in the determination of our significant temporal choices and vital spiritual decisions. This would suggest that in these early stages of relationship with our TAs, it is our consecration of mind in our relation to the whole and through the individuality of the whole, as cosmic citizens that is worthy of our first efforts, in addition to the consecration of our will to the will of our Heavenly Father.
We had another good discussion concerning the disclosure that the Adjuster remains with us in all disaster and through every sickness that does not wholly destroy the mentality, and the admonition to guard against the pollution of the physical body and work to avoid mental poisons both of which interfere with the spiritual progress of the evolving soul. The mind energy system touches our physical nature below and the spirit presence of the TA above and is affected by each independent energy system. Contamination in either system can thwart the Adjusters’ work and the cultivation of an objective consciousness is required to navigate these issues whether it be what one puts into their body or what thought forms one holds in their mind. Utilizing the energy of zeal of the sixth adjutant in an upward direction towards genuine ideals constitutes positive cooperation with the Adjuster leading to self-mastery.
A caller concerned about the destiny of a loved one whose mortal life was lost to drug addiction. Everyone was reminded that the mortal body and mind damaged and distorted by addiction dies. The morontia soul, initiated by grace, is of a more enduring substance and resurrects in a new body and encircuited in a morontia mind reunited with the TA of earthly association. With enhanced equipment and supportive surroundings, the pursuit of perfection can be resumed on mansonia.
The section ends with the revelator’s promise of success in achieving oneness with the Adjuster if you only prove faithful to the trust reposed in you by this divine spirit.
110:2. Adjusters and Human Will
First and foremost, TAs are subservient to your will. However, they come with a model career and an ideal life—a predestination if you will. But it is not foreordained that you must accept this predestination. Keep in mind that this divine plan for your life is not a blueprint for your material course. Throughout history this idea has been misunderstood. The TA is equipped with a plan for your personality directionization, not a specific temporal material sequence.
The TAs have will, but it is at a very high level, altering the causal sequence of mind energy from above as a will act. Creature will always takes precedence, but we so infrequently function on these personal levels. Should we willfully act to form negative forms, the TA cannot oppose this will. Such willful personal act of a negative nature can literally destroy the soul. It should be remembered that transgressions of taboo do not fall into the category of soul-destroying action.
And in the final analysis it will be shown that whatever the Adjuster was able to do for you, it will have been done with your cooperative consent. That which you have been given by grace, must be reaffirmed wholeheartedly and chosen by you in order for you to continue. You must be a willing partner of the TA in the attainment of every step of the ascension career.
