Old wineskins

From Symmetry of Soul

A notion we bring up often based on [147:7.2] (And The Bible, of course). Unless we are very young children, for the most part when new ideas or ideals come along we try to fit them into an existing concept frame, full of preconceived opinions, settled ideas, and long-standing prejudices. In the analogy here, this new wine causes the old wineskin to burst and then you lose both the wineskin and the wine.
