Thoughts on the symmetric, balanced perspective of Symmetry of Soul, August 2023

• Origin: SoS premise from 2010
  • What differentiated it from Cosmic Citizen?
  • Noted an asymmetry of the soul of the readership.
  • Need the 7th's adjustant to find balance and proportion, as opposed to your lopsided biologic, asymmetric nature. Establish a transcendent, mindal "symmetrizer"
  • People naturally notice things in a paragraph their nature asymmetrically is drawn to. The key is to focus on all elements.
  • Focus on the deficit.
  • Help people see what they've been missing, under the assumption that our audience generally biases toward a "unity consciousness" that doesn't focus on details.
  • Assumption: the audience
    • the mainstream readership. Not a cold call.
    • brought here by a friend.
    • those who are brought here are of a similar mind as to that person who brought them.
    • Population a large might be 50-50 unity-individuality, but not here. It leans heavily toward unity.
  • Why 4 co-hosts? Easier to achieve balance with 4 people instead of just 1 talking.
    • "Can't even hope for survival without symmetry" -- paraphrasing TUB somewhere

• History
  • "Chris is the teacher", started in 2020 Experiential Deity (study arc)
    • Even if so, Chris has never presumed to be a 1-man show. He feeds off whomever is listening and whatever the curiosity is.
    • Some of us don't want to be elevated to the position of "teacher."
  • Challenges
    • The absence of nonverbal cues, and the dreadful ~200 millisecond lag makes it hard to even out the discussion.
    • The male/female issue makes it challenging, too.
      • Aggressive: step TO an issue.
      • Retiring: step BACK from an issue.
    • The temperament issue
  • Sharper elbows?
    • Just shoving others out of the way is not the best approach.
    • "Dead air" is dreaded in broadcasts.
    • A duty to honor the time of the people listening.
    • Can we fulfill that in a different way?
  • Other models that aren't only sharp elbows
    • A podcast Ruthie is reflecting on.
    • People CAN still interject. But people also build, collaborate more.
  • Issue: other speakers on the show are often anecdotal, digressive, etc.
    • "I hate it if anyone other than the lead teacher talks."
    • The whole movement has a sustainability issue. "Herd of cats"--no leadership, so nothing enduring.
    • "That reminds me of the grocery store" angered people, always the "older" readers.
    • Chris tries to manage this, and it's difficult. Some people get angry when others talk.

• Destiny
  • Vision/Mission: Symmetry of Soul:About
    • "Consider the Greeks, who have a science without religion, while the Jews have a religion without science. And when men become thus misled into accepting a narrow and confused disintegration of truth, [asymmetric] their only hope of salvation is to become truth-co-ordinated—converted." [155:1.4]
    • a well-balanced soul and approach to the revelation
      • Balance starts with the balance of many two-folds.
    • To reach into the darkness of asymmetry.
    • The 5th ER gives you everything you need to wake up out of this endarkenment. The endarkenment that will only get worse if you don't.
    • We love you. We don't want you to perish. Don't do that to yourself.
    • To become more symmetric ourselves by teaching symmetry.
  • Technique:
    • Issue: many people are unbalanced. But in which way?
  • "The Chris Halvorson Show?" The student/teacher approach.
    • One of us is OK with that ("I am a question asker")
    • Some people get into the mode of sitting at the foot of a certain teacher. We've all had this.
    • An audience who wants to hear what Chris says, because no one has ever said it before.
    • Instead of only a question immediate to the paragraph, but think beyond the paragraph. Instead of contributing "yourself" to the paragraph, show what the 5th ER has to say about the paragraph.
      • This helps with Symmetry of Soul.
      • Every paragraph is false, standing on its own. Must be seen with respect to all other paragraphs.
  • Chris won't be around forever. How do we make this more enduring?
    • Maybe we cannot. Chris is singular. Not much to change?
  • The Thursday call
    • Semi-structure versus totally free?
    • Planning out our approach to the material?

• Next step: step up
  • Come arrived with cross references. Our own exegesis.
  • Maybe not just a "this happened in the grocery store" moment.
  • Try to find a way to think about a paragraph, even when I may not overtly have a question about it?
  • Bearing in mind: Chris could give a 2-hour extemporaneous talk about any paragraph in the book.
  • This is the SoS modality, not a Q&A modality.
  • All Chris has to offer is the revelation, nothing of himself.

• Are all humans asymmetrical? Or is this something particularly generational?
  • Any living and ensuring movement must have a gospel of salvation.
    • That's where you must start.
  • After that, you can strive to balance salvation with bearing fruit in the kingdom.
  • Is there an appropriate aloofness we can take to this? Not worry about the odd things the "old timers" might be doing or thinking?

• Confidence: this is not just another one of those occult chem-trail conspiracy, new-age aura self-worship books.
  • no, we cannot fix that, if people are doing that in the movement.
  • But we can set up a parallel stream.
  • Use religion to MOVE ON from politics and power, and all these human fixations.
    • Discuss the "many strange things" just to the extent that someone needs to be disabused of it.
    • State. Don't overstate, don't understate.
    • Avoid overstating and potentially infecting the next generation with idea that should just be abandoned. "Stop talking about it" -M. Freeman
