Some things to keep in mind
- Studying Thought Adjusters carries danger if make the mistake of trying to grow yourself.
- We cannot cause growth. In humility, we are grown. Supply the favorable conditions for growth.
- This author confessed in 2016 how he's read these papers for years and always had wanted to do something to grow himself..
- These papers speak about apparently "actionable" steps we could take. But no!
- A "cookbook" of material steps to grow yourself? Careful! A dark, self-righteous path of thought is this.
- Don't try to wield your Adjuster. Don't try to hear the voice in your head. Patience.
- Can you trust that you are being grown toward the Thought Adjuster? Can you remain humble?
- "Whew! I am not the agent that is growing myself." This should come as a great relief to you, upon reflection.
- Character growth, not character building. See [Paper 143]
- The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed.
- The reason Jesus taught it this way is precisely because we cannot grow ourselves—cannot build a relationship with our TA. You can't. Thinking you can do so is dangerous.
- OK. I get it. But Favorable conditions: Is there something I can do? Consciously? Something simple?
- Think about the frog and the tadpole. [Paper 100]
- Loyalty is a favorable condition. You can do this in the moment, in any given situation.
- Humility is a favorable condition. Also doable in the moment.
- Sincerity is a favorable condition.
- Being just is a favorable condition. Be honest. Be law-abiding.
- Helps move you up the Levels of meaning, up to mercy and love.
- Patience is a favorable condition.
- So-called psychic circles are the closest the 5th ER comes to explaining one's growing relationship to your Thought Adjuster.
- The journey to the Thought Adjuster within is a cosmic journey—a philosophic journey—not fundamentally a religious journey.
- They are cosmic levels, not spiritual levels. So spiritual choice won't move you up through them.
- Yes, you choose to open yourself up to that growth. But your choice doesn't itself do the growth. Your free will can give permission to be grown.
- Moving upward also can be thought of as moving inward. The Thought Adjuster is at the center of those converging psychic circles.
- Still: can you be humble enough to avoid trying to figure out the inscrutable physics of the psychic circles?
- "What an adventure! What a romance!" [112:7.18] are very compelling words from a high Solitary Messenger.
- Even in the face of lofty prose, can you be patient, humble, loyal, just? Supply favorable conditions for growth? Avoid some "convulsion of fanatacism?" [110:4.5]
- Note the 5th ER's megastructure: Religious experience papers (99-103) are separated from the Thought Adjuster papers (107-112) by some very impenetrable material (104-106).
- We conclude this was by design, to impress upon us how deep Thought Adjuster concepts are.
- Even Thought Adjusters evolve.
- A Thought adjuster is still growing. "There is an -ing to a Thought Adjuster."
- Hence a Thought Adjuster can be in some senses thought of as an ascending son.
- Evolution is everywhere, even in them.
- Personality is a level of deified reality
- If there is a circuit, there must be a conductor. For personality, that conductor is deity.
- Machiventa Melchizedek received a TA [Paper 93], which later was the TA for Michael of Nebadon in his incarnation here.
- "Mentor of the flesh" used to describe the TA. Intriguing phraseology.
